Ronald Wilson Reagan Fantasy Football League 2024

"Fantasy Football's Presumptive Nominee"

Welcome Back:

Are you ready for some football?! We are back and better than ever for 2024. We are hooked up on Yahoo for standings, transactions, real time scoring, smack talk and more.  We also have our domain and portal web site, www.rwrffl.com.

Conversion thrown:                    1 point
Interception return for TD:           6 points
Fumble return for TD:                 6 points
Safety:                               2 points
Defensive fumble recovery             2 points
Defensive interception                2 points
Defensive quarterback sack            1 point
Every 25 yards passing:               1 point
Every 10 yards rushing/receiving:     1 point
Every reception:                      1 point

Details of all scoring rules are on the Yahoo site.

We are 12-team league divided into 2 divisions, the Caspar Weinberger Division and the James Baker Division. We will play 14 regular season games, and have 3 weeks of playoffs. The top 4 finishers in each division will make the playoffs. Yahoo figures the standings.

The total entrance fee for our league will be $50. The Dick Schaap Memorial Bowl winner will receive $300, the runner-up $150, and the 2 regular season division winners $50 each. High game score of the regular season gets $50.

Every year's champ will also get to rename the worst team in the league for 1 season. The champ announces the name change at the draft, and only guideline is can't pick something too vulgar. Be imaginative.

 The Teams:

The teams will consist of 16 total roster spots, 8 starters and 8 reserves. Transactions are as set on Yahoo. Your starters will be:

1 Quarterback

2 Running Backs

3 Wide Receivers/Tight Ends

1 Kicker

1 Team Defense.

Your reserves can be anything you want.

The Draft:

We will hold the RWRFFL draft online at Yahoo, easy to do. It will also autodraft. The draft will consist of 16 rounds. Random serpentine draft.  There will be a 2-minute time limit per selection, so please be prepared. Several warnings will be given. If a selection is not made before the time limit expires Yahoo autodrafts. Draft will take about 90 minutes to complete. After drafting, everyone should have 16 roster spots filled. League entry fee must be paid prior to drafting any players. Complete draft order will be posted on Yahoo. Players must be drafted by name.

The Schedule:

Our regular season will be weeks 1-14 of the NFL season. Weeks 14-17 will be our playoffs.  Every NFL team has 1 bye week; we will not have a bye week.   Winners in each division draw then meet, with those winners then meeting in Week 17 for the Dick Schaap Memorial Bowl.

Game Week/Game Day:

Lineups must be submitted on Yahoo.  Lineups may be submitted and changed until a player kicks off.  Once any one player kicks off, he’s locked.   Whatever Yahoo does with lineups and transactions are the rules. Period.

All starting player scores will count toward your team's total.

Transactions:

Transactions are weekly as set by the website. Player trades are also allowed; however, each trade must get Commissioner approval. Commissioner approval will only be withheld if it is felt that the trade in question is an attempt to "load" one team at the expense of the competitiveness of another. Such collusion between owners will be frowned upon. .

The Newsletter/Website:

Each week of the season, the Yahoo web site will provide real time scoring, results of the weekend's games, transactions and so on, plus upcoming week's schedule in both the NFL and the RWRFFL.

The Officials:

Commissioner: David Ferguson, thecommish@rwrffl.com

Final Word:

Lastly, this can become quite a competitive hobby. Be good sports. My intention is to run a fair, fun and competitive league, but all decisions by the Commissioner are final, and are made in the best interest of the league as a whole, not any particular team. See you draft day!
