WOW! The playoffs get off to a wild start as ALL the division champs get bounced. That's right, Seeds 1,2 and 3 all fall to seeds 6,7 and 8. The only high seed to win was Mr. December, Team Punchey. Punch absolutely destroyed the Wahoos, who put up less fight than an illegal caught at the border. The number 3 seed, the Federals, got shellacked by The Lone Gunmen. This is the first Gunmen win versus the Fed all year. The Generals put the cold steel to Kash's Coronas. Fred Taylor's resurrection has resurrected The Generals' season. And in the biggest news of all, the Slayers take the A's out behind the woodshed. The Slayers use the Marshal Plan, with some help from Jerry Jeff Garcia to post what must surely be a DFFL playoff record 64 points. So that puts us with #8 Slayers v. #4 Punch and #7 Generals v. #6 Gunmen for the right to play for the coveted Cain Trophy.
And in the Toilet Bowl, the Fingers get drubbed out by the Rangers, who played like a playoff team, and the Commandos fall to the Jackhammers. The winner of the Ranger-Hammer matchup wins a special prize for being the "best of the worst".
