Week 1 is in the books, and every favorite covered the spread but the Gunmen, who were embarassed in Celt action by the Jackhammers. Mike "you're in good hands with" Alstott was the main man for the 'hammers. The Federals also get in the Celt win column with a nice game over the Rangers. Rod Smith was solid for the Feds. The Commandos got 6 each from Ron Dayne and Stacey (a football player named Stacey!) Mack to drop the Generals. There were bench points plenty in this one. The Coronas round out the Vandal action with a convincing win over the Wahoos. The bad news is the Coronas lose Joey Galloway for the season. The Fingers use scores from Duce and SD along with a sweet 6 from Commish favorite Marcus Robinson (kuk kuk a ju) to drop the Slayers. Marshal Faulk tried to make this respectable for the Slayers, but nothing could stop the most balanced team in the league. That Cain trophy might just be headed the Fingers' way. And in our barn burner of the week, the Focken A's score 36 on just 2 players, but it wasn't enough as Punchey got large with Jimmy Smith, Az Hakim and Edge James to post the Goth win.
