Big points and close games rule, and the division titles are still up for grabs with 2 games to go. First off, the Highlanders were high scorers for the week and drop the Fingers by 10. This puts the Highlanders into a tie for the division lead, but the Hammers remain the number 1 contender by virtue of division record despite the 1 point loss to the Slayers. This one was epic, and the Slayers stuck with Faulk until it was too late and he was scratched after the deadline. But Wilkins kicked enough points to seal the win. Punch keeps a tight grip on "best team in the league" honors with a win over the Coronas. With 3 teams in contention for 2 spots in the Celt, you'd think somebody would step up to claim them, but the Cards drop a game to the Generals, who played this one for pride, and the A's tuned up for the playoffs with a win over the Federals, who remain in the basement.
