Standings

Round 1 in the books, and its upset city for the Hammers and the Slayers. First up, a 2 year streak of appearing in the title game is broken as the Focken A's take out the Slayers. Even though Mike Vick didn't have the huge game of last week, Jamal Lewis got large and powered a balance A's attack. The Hammers, a team I thought could go all the way behind Marvin and Rich, finally had a clunker, and at a very bad time. The Cards got huge games from Garcia and Owens, and the Titans held Marvin in check to send the Hammers home. The Highlanders had to sweat for awhile after the Fed's Deuce McAllister (what a super stud, I really underestimated him) put up 23 all by lonesome. But Ricky came back on Monday night with 20 of his own to give the Highlanders the win. Finallly, Punch took control early and disposed of the ShippFingers easily. A nice tune-up for the real thing this week. So we've got Cards @ Highlanders and A's @ Punch for the right to play in the big one.
And not that anybody was watching, but for the second year in a row, the Generals win the Toliet Bowl and retain the title of "Best of the Worst". The Generals' owner wants some pub for this one, but I just can't see it. Its not really the playoffs.
